St. Mary's Episcopal Church
St. Mary's Episcopal Church

Welcome to St Mary's!

We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior - the answer to this life's challenges and our eternal hope.  Through worship, teaching and fellowship we draw closer to him and to each other. Individuals and families gain direction and purpose.  We share Christ with our community through word and action.

We have a wide variety of vibrant ministries for all ages. Each intends to help us grow as individuals and answer Christ’s call.  Please tour our Ministries page to see opportunities for worship, growth and service.

If you are looking for a church, we invite you to come and hear our dynamic priest! We are looking forward to Rev Lisa Wimmer leading us forward in our journey to Christ and his teachings. Please visit the blog (click on Blogger on right further down this page) for her bio. You may need to scroll down the Blog a little to see it.

Opportunities to Learn:

 Sunday mornings

Today we will begin a new series based on the N.T. Wright book, Surprised by Hope: Rethinking Heaven, the Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church.  A quote from N.T Wright’s book, “Christians normally think of the future in terms of ‘heaven’, but the promised reality is far greater: a new heaven and a new earth, a whole new creation.  Once you grasp this biblical vision of God’s future, it will transform your understanding of life in the present.

In six transforming, faith-inspiring sessions, N.T. Wright opens your eyes to the amazing full scope of what God’s Word has to say about the world to come and the world that is.”  Please join us at 9:30 in the parish hall.

Tuesday afternoons

Cancelled until further notice.   THE LADIES BIBLE STUDY meets on Tuesday, at 2pm in the church library.  If you have any questions, please give Jennie Sandford a call at 352-552-5277.

Friday mornings

The bible study led by Deacon Bob on the Gospel of John takes place Friday morning at 10:00 am, in the Library.  All are welcome to join.  Please come and share in the fellowship as we learn together.
